SalahMate is a Muslim prayer habit app. It shows prayer times for your location, lets you log each salah with clear statuses, tracks streaks, surfaces journal insights on your patterns, supports accountability circles with gentle nudges, and offers an optional smart Fajr alarm—all in a calm, paper-style interface.
Yes. SalahMate is free to download on Google Play. Core features—prayer times, logging, journal, circles, and reminders—are available without a subscription. SalahMate Pro unlocks longer reminder windows, more flexible app-blocking times, and unlimited circles.
Times are computed from your location (GPS or a place you set) and your chosen calculation method in Settings. The home screen highlights the next prayer and a countdown so you can plan your day around salah.
You can mark each prayer as on time, late, excused (for valid reasons such as travel or illness), or missed. The journal uses colour-coded cells in the daily rhythm chart and an insights breakdown so you can scan your week at a glance and notice patterns—not to judge, but to stay aware.
Circles are small groups of people you trust—family or friends. Members can send a nudge, a short gentle reminder to pray. Nudges are designed for accountability, not spam; you choose who is in your circle.
The Fajr alarm is a dedicated wake-up flow. If you enable it, you can optionally use the camera and on-device ML to verify a prayer mat before the alarm silences—processing stays on your phone; images are not uploaded for that check. You can pause or skip when you need to.
Optional app blocking helps you stay focused during prayer windows you configure. It uses an Accessibility Service to detect when a blocked app opens and shows a calm overlay. It is off by default; you turn it on only if you want it, and you choose which apps to block.
SalahMate is available on Android today. An iOS version is in progress—check back on this site or follow the App Store link when it launches.
